SpiralGround is a legally incorporated church in the Commonwealth of Virginia. We describe ourselves as "Interfaith and Interpath" and accept as candidates for membership any sincere seeker who agrees with our Mission and Vision. We are an eclectic bunch, but all of us share in the desire for communion with Nature and attunement with the Earth, Moon, Sun, and other natural cycles of life. We come together for ritual, celebration, comfort, encouragement, exploration, empowerment, learning, fellowship, and fun, because we believe that by doing so, our individual growth is augmented through these shared experiences. Our regular meetings are called Spirit Circles, and are generally held on Fridays in Cumberland, VA. They are open to visitors (unless otherwise indicated on our Online Calendar) by invitation, which can be obtained by contacting a SpiralGround member via our Contact Form. In addition to Spirit Circles, SpiralGround hosts a number of festivals and special events throughout the year. These include weekend-long celebrations at Beltane, Halloween/Samhain, and near the 4th of July. We offer ritual and celebration for the Sosltices, Equinoxes, and Moon Observances, celebrate birthdays once a month at Spirit Circle, and host weddings, handfastings, baby dedications, and other landmarks of life. SpiralGround is also pleased to sponsor the National Pagan Leadership Skills Conference, which is held annually in Richmond, Virginia. SpiralGround has been represented by its membership on the planning team of the PLSC since its beginning, and we continue to look to the future with this important, timely offering for community, church, and other religious leaders across the nation. Because we value the importance of community, SpiralGround endeavors to network with other similar churches and religious groups throughout Virginia and beyond, and welcomes visiting members and groups to join with us in our own programs, from festivals and rituals to community service opportunities. We believe that by finding unity within our own diversity, we can affect the community and the world at large with a positive, affirming, and powerful message that will be a blessing to all.
